In final a urmat obisnuitul timp de ceai.

The second meeting of January was a continuation of the topic in discussion in the last meeting of 2010, namely Jpop, or Japanese pop music. The meeting started with the usual introduction of every participant. Afterwards the participants had a recollection of Maho Morikuni spending her last moments with her friends from Romania, before returning to Japan, after her Student exchange program in Romania ended. A number of interesting photos from the last meetings with Ms. Morikuni has been projected and Ms. Minodora showed and handed for circulation a postcard send by Ms. Morikuni to her friends from Japan’s Friends Club.
Afterwards, the club got back to the topic which was Jpop, with Ms. Luiza and Ms. Mara starting their presentation. During the preparations however, the participants have been once again enchanted by one of Mr. Emil Chiorean’s songs. This time the presentation was predominantly oriented to female audience but the counterpart had not been forgotten. A lot of background information has been presented, from the pre-jpop influences in 1960s to contemporary artists and trends. Several, some impressive, some more refreshing boy bands videos had been projected in order to let people make an idea about what Japanese pop music is like. A video of a female artist has been also shown. In the end of her presentation, Ms. Luiza showed the public a part of an impressive concert in which Japanese traditional and contemporary influences could be observed in their combination, the result being something spectacular. The concert was showed how different Japanese pop concerts are from the rest of the concerts around the world. After her presentation, people asked questions in order to clarify what might have not been explicitly presented before.
After Ms. Luiza’s presentation Mr. Katsutaro Kawai, excited by the topic and his old dream to become a professional singer, sang a song for the public, accompanied by his guitar. Afterwards the usual tea and snack time followed.
